Somatic Therapy for Women in Leadership

Your leaders are performing regulationthey don't actually have.

A body based approach to burnout, capacity and retention, for organisations who take their people's wellbeing seriously.

The cost of pressure

The strain is real, even when it's invisible.

96% of women reported high or extreme stress in the last year.35% wouldn't feel comfortable telling their manager they were struggling.

  • The people who never miss a deadline are often the ones closest to collapse, and the least likely to say so.
  • Wellbeing programmes built on tips and perks rarely reach the nervous system, which is where the strain actually lives.
  • People leaders can see the signs long before they can name the cause or find the right kind of support.
  • By the time burnout shows up in absence, attrition and disengagement, it has usually been building for months.

How your leaders lead affects everything beneath them. This work is built for founders, CEOs, directors and senior leaders — the people whose capacity sets the tone for everyone else.

The approach

Wellbeing that works with the body, not around it.

Most workplace wellbeing speaks to the mind: strategies, resilience training, another app nobody opens twice. But stress takes hold in the body long before it reaches conscious thought — in the tension before a hard conversation, in an exhaustion a good night's sleep doesn't touch.

I work directly with the nervous system, using trauma informed, body based practice, to help your people build real capacity rather than manage symptoms.

The work is practical and grounded, drawn from over a decade in this field and twenty five years inside London agencies and consultancies before it.

Who you'd be working with

I know this world from the inside.

I'm Charlene Salmon, founder of SOMA Therapy, working with individuals and organisations across London, the UK and worldwide.

Before this, I spent twenty five years in London agencies and consultancies, latterly as a Director of New Business, and founded two businesses of my own. My own burnout and collapse taught me, from the inside, what most workplace wellbeing misses.

That experience, combined with formal training in trauma informed, body based practice, shapes how I work with your people now: grounded, direct, and built for how pressure actually moves through a body, not just a calendar.

While this work is built around women's leadership specifically, I also work with men navigating the same terrain.

Let's have a conversation.

If something here felt familiar, that's usually a good enough reason to talk. Just an honest hour looking at what your people are carrying and whether I'm the right person to help.
